Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Civil Design Team Lead to oversee and manage civil engineering design for substation projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, specifically in the design and construction of substations and associated infrastructure. This role involves leading a team of engineers and designers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality designs that meet project specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the civil design team in developing innovative and effective civil engineering solutions for substation projects.
• Manage project timelines, and resources to ensure successful project execution.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and other engineering disciplines to deliver integrated design solutions.
• Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, and calculations to ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
• Conduct site assessments and collaborate with field teams to gather data and ensure the feasibility of designs.
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Interface with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide technical expertise.
• Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations for project stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil design 5 mainly for substation projects.
• Proven experience in leading a design team and managing projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, codes, and standards related to substation design.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant tools).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
