Job Description
- Oversee the consolidation and recommend the Financial Control sector/function/business unit budget
- Monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and potential areas of cost reduction or performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.
- Developing financial strategy, including risk minimization plans and opportunity forecasting.
- Developing financial reviews and providing investment advice.
- Working closely with the CFO and executive team to share reports and analysis.
- Direct all operations related to Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
- Improving efficiencies and reducing costs across the business.
- Lead and guide the project management team in the planning, organizing, management and control of various projects in order to ensure that the project cycle is completed, meeting agreed project parameters (cost budget, timelines, scope and quality), standards and objectives.
- Define an optimum organization structure for the Financial Control department so that resources are optimally utilized and communication can take place in an efficient manner
- Lead and direct the management of change through continuous improvement of sector/function/business unit systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, changes in international standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans.
Job Requirements
- Academic and Professional Qualifications: Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting section
- CMA, CIA or preferred
- Experience: + 10 years in the same field
- Technical requirements: Internal control system and concepts IFRS Accounting Standards
