Job Description
We're looking for a video editor to help create world-class, educational videos. You'll be working to craft an inspiring, entertaining video for our platform.
You will be responsible for assembling raw footage and producing finalized videos for multiple platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram. Should be proficient in editing using software like Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro.
60% - Video Editing
- Reorder and fine-tune the content to ensure logical sequencing and smooth running of the video.
- Actively work in all aspects of post-production including, Improving and correcting lighting, coloring, and faulty footage.
- Chroma Key compositing.
- Add subtitles to videos.
- Inputting sound to enhance footage, which may include selecting music and writing voice-overs.
- Place appealing borders and frames into videos to attract attention and engagement.
- Format and edit videos according to social media platforms requirements (Size dimensions, video durations)
- Develop new, creative, and highly engaging video content to grow our TikTok and Reels audiences.
- Deliver accurate, engaging video edits within tight deadlines.
40% - Motion Graphics Production
- Create graphic illustrations and layouts to support visual communication in the production of educational online videos.
- Create motion graphics to enhance engagement by combining audio, video, photography, animation, and illustration components.
About the Team
Forma FIT is one of the largest health and fitness sites and youtube channels.
Its main goal is to be the primary source of information for people looking to live a healthy life and become the best and the strongest version of themselves through the latest and most accurate scientific information in the field of health and fitness.
In 4 years, the YouTube channel's grown to 700 thousand subscribers, with more than 30 million views of our videos and content, with hundreds of thousands of followers on other platforms.
The medium-term aim is to triple our free content production, make it great, and put it out for free across our social platforms. We offer paid online courses to fund our business operations and help us create (hopefully) world-class free content.
You'll be joining a small, dynamic, friendly team who don't believe in red tape and try our best to have fun every day.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years experience as a video editor. This is not a deal-breaker if your work is amazing.
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro or in Final Cut.
- Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio.
- Experience working with motion graphics
- Experience chroma key green screen footage.
- An understanding of Adobe After Effects.
- You're able to work to shared deadlines and have content ready to publish when it’s needed, always looking to stay ahead of the game.
- An understanding of and interest in the creator economy, and knowledge of the levers to gain growth on YouTube and other platforms.
- You’re hands-on, always bringing ideas to the table and you’re looking to make a difference and have an impact.
- Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
