Kroll’s Forensic Investigations and Intelligence (“FII”) practice is world-renowned for our trusted experts, global resources, local insight, and actionable results. As the originator of the modern, independent internal investigation, over our 45-year history Kroll has conducted thousands of investigations worldwide. Clients have entrusted us with assisting them to resolve some of their most difficult and business critical challenges.
Our investigative services include financial, internal, and regulatory investigations, asset searches, brand protection, forensic accounting, dispute advisory services, litigation support, business/market entry intelligence, transaction intelligence, proxy contests, intellectual property infringement and product counterfeiting, and regulatory or court-ordered monitorships.
Kroll’s FII practice is staffed with a multidisciplinary team of professionals who include former prosecutors, law enforcement officers and journalists, as well as certified public and forensic accountants, data analytics experts, and certified fraud examiners.
Responsibilities:
As Associate within Kroll’s Dubai FII team you will have responsibility for carrying out secondary research by utilizing databases, internet and public domain tools Examine and interpret the information obtained to produce in-depth and detail-orientated analysis, identifying further research that needs to be carried out and what leads need to be investigated. Write well-structured, logical and objective reports which present the research in a client focused manner and addresses the clients’ central questions and concerns. Effectively feedback the findings and analysis to the Case Manager in a logical and structured manner, identifying potential issues and conflicts of interest identified in the research. Assist Case Managers in using Excel and PowerPoint to provide diagrammatic and pictorial explanations to present key findings and patterns identified in the investigation. Organise case files, maintain accurate research records and record all billable costs. Support the growth of the Forensic Investigations and Intelligence practice through involvement in non-case related projects and initiatives. Identify own learning needs and opportunities and continuously seek to improve case-work performance. Supporting Case Managers during Client’s meetings. You will also carry out other activities and projects as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
At least 1-year professional experience (or internship) in in the Forensic Investigations and Intelligence field is required. Strong academic background, preferably in the fields of International Relations, International Business and Political Science, Economics, Law or Security Studies, or experience in investigative journalism or law enforcement. Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with proven experience in using Word, Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to convert data and information to produce PowerPoint presentations. Experience in using data visualization tools. An analytical, inquisitive and logical mind. Excellent English-language report writing skills. Fluency in Arabic is desirable. Ability to communicate clearly and precisely to Case Managers and Associates. Strong communications skills (upward, downward, across individuals, across cultures, across business lines). Ability to work in fast-paced work environments with tight deadlines. A strong team work ethic and excellent people skills that represent diverse communities. A highly professional and commercial approach to problem solving. Professional certifications relevant to the industry are desirable, but not essential.
