Job Description

  • Oversees the daily accounting transactions/operations
  • Supervises and reviews the work of the accounting staff (including, but not limited to, cash reconciliations, check runs, accounts receivable transactions, fixed asset activity, accounts payable transactions, debt activity, recording of revenue and expenses, etc.).
  • Reviews general ledger on a monthly basis to ensure the accuracy of posting.
  • Produces required financial reports.
  • Organize and supervise the activities and work of subordinates to ensure that all work within own area is carried out in manner consistent with operating procedures and policy.
  • Prepare key financial statements for specific area to finance activity to ensure that accurate and timely information is provided to internal and external customers and representatives.
  • Oversee the production of the reports according to defined schedules to ensure the provisions of accurate, timely financial information to assist management decision making and fulfill legislative/ regulatory requirements.
  • Recommended procedures and work instructions covering specific accounting processes in light of overall financial policy and regulatory requirements to ensure that all activities are carried out in a controlled manner.
  • Ensure the conformity of data so that if meets the requirements of external representatives, external auditors and partner company representatives
  • Coordinate with external bodies and representatives (e.g. Regulatory authorize, external auditors, Group company representatives) as required to ensure that any queries are answered in a prompt and efficient manner.
  • Supervise the work of subordinates by using setting of individual objectives and feedback of performance versus objectives to maximize levels of individual performance.
  • Reconcile financial data according to stated schedules so that the company remains aware of its financial position on an ongoing basis and statutory reports can be produced within internal and legislative time limits.
  • Provide consultative advice as required to other business areas to allow the realization of cost saving or efficiency enhancing opportunities.
  • Prepare non-routine financial data for management attention as requested in order to support management decision making.
  • Prepare key financial statements for specific area to finance activity to ensure that accurate and timely information is provided to internal and external customers and representatives.

Job Requirements

Qualifications 

  • BS degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CMA Or CPA is preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years experience in a similar position.
  • Must have experience working in railway/ construction projects 

Technical Competencies

  • Excellent oral and written skills in English and ability to communicate effectively
  • Very Good Computer skills.
