Working under pressure and meeting deadlines. Working independently and handling multiple responsibilities.
Detail-oriented and able to manipulate large amounts of data with 100% accuracy. Problem-solving skills and a desire for continuous improvement. Excellent MS Office skills, including advanced Excel knowledge. Expertise in ERP systems and accounting software. Knowledge of Xpedeon would be an advantage.
Profile
The Chief Accountant will be responsible but not limited to establishing the accurate and timely reporting
financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analysing, verifying, and reporting
financial information. This is accomplished by timely and actively managing, supervising, communicating,
executing, completing, and successfully closing out monthly financial statements.
• Leading accounting month-end processes, including intercompany reconciliations.
• Providing the Regional Financial Controller with information on VAT returns and pointing out risks.
• Submitting VAT returns and communicating with FTA and Regional Tax Manager.
• Managing cash flow and finalising the payment schedule.
• Finalising of salary, EOS, and leave provisions, and analysis of variations.
• Assisting in creating various reporting forms in Excel and Power BI.
• Secure financial information by creating database backups.
• Maintaining a proper archive of regular reports.
• Preparing supporting schedules and presentations for monthly group reporting.
• Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the balance sheet and profit and loss statement.
• Preparing monthly reports with extensive commentary to explain differences between reporting
periods.
• Answering accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policies and
regulations.
• Looking beyond the numbers to understand the company's business.
• Managing the whole accounting function and taking the department to the next level.
• Supporting and assisting other team members as needed.
• Advising the Regional Financial Controller on process automation.
• Identifying opportunities for improvement by analysing accounting options.
• Providing assistance with quarterly reviews and leading annual audits
