Senior Architect (Conceptual Design)

Required A Concept Architectural Designer in Elgabaly Architects, you will be responsible for developing creative and innovative architectural concepts, designs and plans for projects implemented by Elgabaly Architects. Under the direction of the Sr. Director of Design, formulates plans for the development and construction of new resorts, themed destinations, attractions, and renovations across all Parks and Resorts. Directs and reviews Architectural design from outside firms as needed. Develop graphic and narrative reports on project sites and land planning. Develops drawings, sketches, master plans, models and creative design and planning solutions. Concept Development and subsequent phases of work. Responsible for designing able projects to project program, creative intent, schedule.

• Coordinate and drive all phases of  design from initial design concept to installation.
• Develop preliminary design and coordinate with other team members through the subsequent design stages.
• Coordinate with project managers and production team to ensure the correct design plan.
• Manage all company-offered services including space planning, schematic design, design development, and furniture and finish selection.
• Effectively communicate design vision and aesthetic to junior staff members. Break down and delegate tasks; oversee design team progress and timelines.
• Create and maintain budgets for each project in Studio IT.
• Evaluate and make recommendations regarding scope, feasibility, staffing, scheduling and budget requirements of each project.
• Oversee integration of design services and furniture specifications to assure each project is viewed in total.
• Source products / services and prepare proposals for presentations to clients. Verify proposals created by the design team, and oversee timely sending and receipt of proposals, accounts payable, and accounts receivable for potential and ongoing projects. Confer with vendors, Principals and other designers during all stages of product development to ensure accurate production.
• Prepare floor, space, and furniture plans and elevations in AutoCAD, and produce hand drawings or computer renderings that communicate design intent.
• Prepare and maintain design plan documents such as finish schedules, specifications, product / room matrixes, templates, schedules.
• Oversee installation timelines.
• Maintain continual communication with Founder, Principals and design team regarding project timelines and orders, including the progress of custom orders, timing for fabric selections, workroom inspections, and other project-related information.
• Maintain all project-related information in paper filing systems, electronic folders, and Studio IT.
• Possesses solid aesthetic sensibilities and storytelling skills to support the creative process and to facilitate positive and productive communication between all disciplines.
• Exhibits thorough understanding of project design philosophy and provides input in developing design strategies relative to assigned task or area of responsibility.
• Seeks creative and innovative solutions to assigned tasks and develops associated research and documentation of solutions.
• Think creatively to produce ideas and concepts, work with a wide range of software including Revit.
• The ability to think conceptually as well as converse and lead design direction with clients & the project team
• Ability to produce concept designs at a level that would be perceived externally as excellent whilst adhering to the client’s and Head of department directives.
