Position Summary

The Application Specialists main responsibility is supporting the regional channel manager and local
channel partners in the MEA region with complex technical questions and product demonstrations focusing within Biotec/Pharma industries but mainly in the O&G/Petrochemical sector. The Application Specialist will work closely with the commercial team to identify opportunities for the Business Development in the high growth markets in the MEA region.

As Field Application Specialist you support the sales organization in continuous growth of sales figures by providing excellent customer support.

What you will do?             

• Represent our company in a positive, professional manner in all dealing with Thermo Fisher Scientific customers, both external and internal.
• Conduct product presentations, sample measurements and develop chemometric modelling solutions for applications via Raman Spectroscopy
• Pro-active MEA market evaluation and regional business development together with the Channel Manager and Channel Partner
• Team up and share best practices with the EMEA applications team

How you will get here?

• University degree in chemistry, physics, or related field, preferably Ph.D.
• Working experience of application support
• Knowledge of Raman Spectrometry and related applications
• Knowledge of chemometric modelling is desirable
• Fluent in English & Arabic
• Willingness to travel (up to 50%)
