Job Description

  • Reporting to the Managing Director, the Fund Raising Manager organizes activities to raise funds or otherwise solicit and gather monetary donations for the organization. Developing strategies and setting goals to hit fundraising targets and keeping in touch with existing donors and stakeholders. Design and produce promotional materials. Raise awareness of the organization's work, goals, and financial needs.
  • Advocating the foundation’s mission towards empowering vulnerable women and youth in Rural Upper Egypt in both the local business community and civil society. 
  • Developing and overseeing the foundation’s fundraising strategy.
  • Managing and maintaining donors’ relations as well as preparing grant proposals.
  • Identifying and expanding the foundation’s network of potential donors and sponsors.
  • Promoting the establishment of partnerships with the private sector and civil society. 
  • Devising win-win strategies to attract business community and multinational companies to invest in Rural Upper Egypt towards alleviating poverty and realizing sustainable development. 
  • Managing the organization of the Foundation’s Annual Conference.
  • Managing the foundation’s Board of Trustees affairs and ensuring effective communication between the Management and Board. 
  • Completing projects by organizing and coordinating information and requirements as well as monitoring results.
  • Monitoring and verifying the appropriate use of projects resources and activities in accordance to designated budgets and target activities to ensure compliance with project objectives and donors´ requirements.
  • Monitoring the achievement of results against projects objectives and coordinate the adjustment of projects in accordance to needs and situation analysis.
  • Handling all donor communications and reporting. 

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Education requirements :

  • A post graduate or bachelor`s degree in Development Studies, Statistics or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a related field .
  • Strong project management skills. 
  • Computer skills and familiarity with standard software packages .
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in oral and written English and Arabic is a must including typing. 

Preferred Skills : 

  • Prior work experience in fundraising management
  • Willingness and ability to work in a fast-paced team, finding pragmatic solutions, where necessary
  • Effective skills in planning, organizing.
  • High degree of multi-tasking and time management capability 
  • Integrity and professionalism
  • Very good command of English and Arabic (written and spoken)
