Main Duties/Description:


Direct the efforts, quality and timeliness of all aspects of the general ledger, Accounts receivable in accordance with local and corporate policies and procedures in compliance with internal control policies, this position, under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Finance, is responsible for the accurate checking, coding and daily processing of several accounting functions in a computerized accounting environment.


To assist the Accounting department in maintaining proper credit procedures throughout the hotel in accordance with both local and Four Seasons Hotels Limited policies and procedures.


PEOPLE FUNCTIONS


1. Maintain a harmonious and professional relationship with co-workers, supervisors and all departments.


2. Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in Employee Handbook.


3. Conduct self in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards of Four Seasons Hotels.


4. Assist in other areas of the Accounting Office and Finance Department as needed


PRODUCT FUNCTIONS


1. Print, prepare and mail statements for outstanding C/L accounts at least twice per week.


2. Answer guest and credit card inquiries concerning accounts including the documentation and preparation of adjustments if necessary on a timely basis.


3. Prepare and maintain complete, accurate and organized records for all outstanding accounts as directed.


4. Ensure all Travel Agent payments are properly reviewed/verified, audited and all Travel Agents have valid IATA number (or equivalent) and ensure that payments are not made for non-commissionable transactions and the Travel Agent is eligible to receive payment.


5. Review group and catering contracts, establish understanding of billing arrangements and follow up on deposits and prepayments.


6. Assist the Income Auditor, if necessary, in reconciling the City Ledger totals.


Requirements:


1. Minimum 2-years' experience as Accounts Receivable in a luxury five-star hotel.


2. Opera and Sun System knowledge is necessary, preferred UAE experience, preferably Arabic speaker.
