Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategy & Planning

  • Participate in IS Department operational and strategic planning, including fostering innovation, planning projects, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources.

Acquisition & Deployment

       Participation in

  • Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IS platforms.
  • Manage financial aspects of the IS Department, including purchasing, budgeting, and budget review.
  • Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IS spending and initiatives.
  • Develop and implement all IS policies and procedures, including usage, authorization, data integrity, etc.
  • Govern enterprise system designs and architecture to ensure overall design and structure is maintained throughout continuous improvements.
  • Coordinate IT infrastructure policies and plans with IT Manager to support applications strategy and requirements.
  • Negotiate and administer vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements throughout the full life cycle of RFP, selection, to contracting.

Operational Responsibility

  • Supervising the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IS systems, including coordination of infrastructure servers, software, and peripherals with IT.
  • Provide the business end-users with the needed training and second level support on all information systems
  • Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
  • Direct research on potential technology solutions in support of procurement efforts.
  • Keep current with the latest technologies.
  • Participation in the preparation of projects and the portfolio of projects and supervision of them.
 

 

Job Requirements

Preferred Background and Relevant Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or Business administration 

Minimum Experience: 

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in IT and/or business analysis and project management

Job-specific Skills:

  • Familiarity with desktop, notebook, handheld, and server computer hardware.
  • Familiarity with local and wide area network design, implementation, and operation.
  • Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, Unix, and Linux.
  • Knowledge of various office productivity software programs such as word processing, databases, spreadsheet programs, and communications software.
  • Familiarity with various computer peripherals such as printers, monitors, modems, and other equipment.
  • General knowledge of business processes and their interrelationship gained through three or more years of related experience.
  • Experience in ERP implementations and interface solutions with 3rd party systems.

Soft Skills

  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues, both logical and interpersonal.
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills and effective presentation skills, all geared toward coordination and education.
  • Ability to negotiate and defuse conflict.
  • Self-motivator, independent, cooperative, flexible, creative.
