We are looking for a software quality engineer to join our cutting-edge development team as it grows. We want someone who is a divergent thinker who understands industry best practices and has experience in software testing processes and automation. The candidate should have high analytical as well as technical skills, and is able to analyze fail scenarios in the logic and user experience. The candidate must be comfortable working in an agile dynamic environment with good English language listening and speaking skills.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Meeting with the software/product designers to determine quality assurance parameters.
- Design QA testing procedures, implement, monitor and modifying them.
- Review work products.
- Conducting analysis checks on product specifications.
- Ensuring the successful deployment of products into the market.
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans
- Design and execute test cases.
- Design, develop, execute and maintain automation scripts.
- Identify, record, document thoroughly, track and report bugs
- Perform various types of testing (functional, non-functional and change based).
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
- Communicate and coordinate with peers and senior level individuals in cross-functional groups to articulate and compare alternative testing approaches
- Monitor test execution across multiple code branches and multiple platforms
- Utilize tools such as code coverage tools to assess the coverage of test suites and make recommendations for additional test cases
- Perform various testing levels (integration, system and acceptance)
- Suggest functionality improvements based on usability standards.
- Work with the development team to troubleshoot issues.
- Comfortable with working night shifts (1-2 times per month).

Job Requirements
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from either:
- 4 years Egyptian Computer Science Faculty.
- 5 years Egyptian Engineering Faculty (Computer department).
- ITI graduate is recommended.
- 2+ years of experience as a QA Engineer.
- Good English is a must
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven work experience as software quality assurance in software field
- Solid understanding of SDLC and STLC.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Fluent in object-oriented programming (Java)
- Hands-on experience with test automation (Selenium, Maven, TestNG)
- Experience with API testing(Postman - RestAssured) or integration
- Experience with automated load/stress and performance testing and tools (Jmeter)
- Experience testing complex, multi-threaded, and multi-component products
- ISTQB certificate is a plus.
- Solid knowledge of SQL, scripting and relational databases is a plus.
- Knowledge of management tools as (JIRA - TFS) is a plus.
- Experience with security testing is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Critical thinker.
- Detail oriented.
- Strong ability to work in fast-paced environment and ability to multitask with ease is essential to the success of this position.
- Experience with virtual environment such as VMWare is a plus.
- A self-motivated, eager and quick learner.
