Freight Operations Specialist

We currently have an opening for a Road Freight LTL Manager in Morocco. The successful candidate will provide Implement Road freight Strategy in the country as defined by ensuring on time delivery of road freight services. Individuals’ responsibility is to ensure procuring best rates & handling the LTL

In this Road Freight LTL Manager position, You will:

• Arrange bookings based on customer requirements with various nominated third parties to ensure customer needs are met.
• To process customer and customs documentation within a required timeframe in accordance to third party and local requirements i.e. customs, trade law, carriers  
• To co-ordinate movement of cargo within required/stipulated time frames in order to meet customer needs
• To manage and monitor all parties within the supply chain
• To develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers
• To prepare specific customer reports whenever required
• Timely & amicable settlement of customer issues
• Support the Head of Road Freight with, negotiation & maintenance of supplier rates and contracts, new/change of systems, directives 
• Build and maintain relationships  Customs and transporters

Daily Operational

• Receive and accept transport orders from customers
• Book shipment with transporter on time
• Register shipment on internal system on time
• Arrange customs clearance based on customer documentation
• Follow up PODs (proof of delivery) with transporters
• Arrange collection / packing of customer cargo
• Supply carrier with transport order/ instructions
• Send Pre-alerts to customer / destination offices
• Invoice shipment based on estimate or rate agreements
• Supply estimates on customer / sales request

Now, here’s what we need from you.

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience/qualification
• Deep knowledge of Road freight forwarding business from domestic and cross border prospective
• Customer service skills
• Excellent analytical, structuring skills along with Strong project management skills and ability to cope with multiple bids in parallel.
• Results driven and attention to details.
• At least 6-8 Years experience in product and operations
• Al least 6-8 years’ experience in road freight operations for both domestic and cross border trucking with respect to Country
• Understanding of end-to-end process from freight and customs prospective for international road movements
• Team Player
• Good command Arabic and English
