Senior Logistics Specialist

Job Description:

• Follow up on external shipments with forwarders, clearing agents, insurance brokers and suppliers on all issues related to shipments.
• Follow up containers loading process in order to prepare final shipping documents (Commercial invoice, packing list, final shipping declaration) to submit to custom broker / custom authority to finish custom clearance procedures.
• Prepare and update the shipping plan on weekly basis with freight forwarders, prepare and send shipment (invoice, packing list, preliminary shipping declaration) in order to arrange to get the shipping orders (booking) and arrange bringing containers on time.
• Revise all shipping documents drafts before final issuance to insure the compliance to the purchase order.
• Effectively follow up internally with various teams & department, and externally with forwarders, clearing agents and insurance brokers on all issues related to shipment delays, in order to ensure smooth provision of services.
• Assist in Identifies and proposes improvements of procedures and report in own area to support the ongoing development of Logistics standards.
• Collect processes and maintains accurate data related to Logistics activities in order to ensure that statistics are established.
• Coordinate with the Sales team to provide to internal customer’s professional advice and guidance on Logistics issues in own area, in order to ensure that high standards in Logistics practices are achieved and maintained.
• Report major problems to direct manager .
• Ensure current Logistics policies and procedures are in compliance ; Develop and maintain good working relationships with suppliers and other external agencies in order to ensure prompt resolution of issues and provision of high Logistics service levels.
• Compare Logistics cost between forwarders for his/her country market and highlights feedback to the Direct Manager to select the best services and cost in alignment with the group's corporate strategy.
• Ensure that all Import documented correctly and in the right form.
• Provide applicable Import documentation needed by each country of destination.
• Ensure that import laws and regulations for export consignments is complied with the Egyptian customs standards.
• Ensure efficient service to the business by setting work objectives and schedules for specific Logistics operations.
• Identify procedures and reports related to the assigned projects, suggesting improvements in order to support the ongoing development of Logistics standards.
• Ensure logistics policies and procedures are in adherence to identified legal requirements & regulations.
• Maintain up to date knowledge of import execution regulations and Customs Tariff.
