• This position requires strong interior design / furniture specification and leadership / administration experience.

The purpose of the position

• Manage a team of interior designers of different experiences and backgrounds on a project scope ranging from hospitality to corporate, retail and residential projects. A Design Manager will also contribute to the practice’s library of resources, materials and references in all fields of Interior Designing

Duties and Responsibilities

• Leading & planning as a design manager for a variety of project types
• Participate during all phases of project delivery
• Develop project schedules, budgets, and work plans
• Interface with client, contractor, agencies, as well as engineering and specialty consultants
• Prepare and review proposals, contracts, and consultant agreements
• Review internal project accounting documents and process draft project billing
• Participate in firm marketing, proposal writing and project interviews
• Manage mid-size to large project teams, assign and monitor completion of tasks
• Mentor junior staff
• Ensure interior design conforms with budget
• Responsible for technical coordination during planning and construction
• Selection of appropriate materials for the project
• Participate in the coordination and document preparation for projects and provide quality assurance via review of project documentation
• contribute or otherwise assist as required
