Job Description
The Product Manager is responsible for leading teams to deliver fintech project(s) that span across one or more business units. Manage resources, schedules and backlog of development team. This also includes management of issues, risks and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. Contribute to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery.
The Senior Product Manager has the authority to run the project on a day-to-day basis. Verify that the project produces the required deliverables of quality, within the specified constraints of time and cost and to achieve the potential benefits defined in the business case.
Responsibilities:
- Collect the requirements from business users
- Analyze preferences and requests of end users • Writing new user stories
- Splitting user stories which are too big
- Specifying acceptance criteria for each user story
- Define business acceptance criteria for user stories / request
- Grooming the product backlog
- Evaluating product progress at each iteration
- Giving feedback to the development team
- Conduct releases and iteration plans
- Determine the team capacity & velocity
- Create the iteration / release burn up/down charts
- Update the iteration charts on daily basis
- Conduct daily stand-up meeting
- Validate Done Definition for stories, iteration and release
- Prepare iteration Plan sheet
- Conduct the iteration retrospective and prepare retrospective document
- Ensure that the customer comments have been recorded and classified (bugs, new feature)
- Helping the team to continuously improve their process
- Promote Continuous Improvement
- Explain the requirements to the team and answer team inquiries about it
- Conduct product review meeting internally
- Maintain the product backlog and make sure priority has been set according to business value
Job Requirements
- 3 to 5 years related experience in product management
- Experience working with business stakeholders in fintech industries
- Experience with and understanding of full project or product lifecycle
- Experience in conducting market research and competitors’ analysis.
- Proficiency with Agile management tools and related technology such as JIRA
- Ability to demonstrate leadership, drive results, solve problems, and possess interpersonal skills from prior work situations
- Experience in different project management methodologies
- Experience gathering requirements, business analysis, and documentation
- Experience coaching and team building
- Achieving balance of and the right priority from multiple simultaneous projects
