Telecom Technician

JOB PURPOSE

Carries out the Corrective & Preventive Maintenance Activities for Mobile Systems, Fixed LTE, Public Wi-FI, Radio Systems, Radio Link & Other Access Network equipment's at Sites.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Demonstrates proficiency in the day-to-day operation and maintenance routines of Access Network Maintenance systems.
2. Performs fault diagnosis investigations and carries out rectification tasks as per Procedures /standards of Manufacturers, Suppliers and Corporate policies and guidelines of Etisalat.
3. Attends to shift/call-out/remote-station duties on 24x7 basis as assigned. 
4. Reviews with Team Leader the work practices, Tools, test equipment and spares ; follows- up as required.
5. Reports on physical condition and safety/security of equipment and systems.
6. Follows-up on the operational logs/ Network alarms in close coordination with Shift Engineer and strives to clear the faults within the set KPI’s. 
7. Performs complex/non-routine trouble shooting and preventive maintenance tasks. 
8. Complies with prescribed ETISALAT standards, procedures, HSE Regulations and guidelines.
9. Analyzes, follows up & resolves complex O&M issues in respect of the assigned Access Network Maintenance systems.
10. Reports on theft & damage case observed during site visits & provides the details to the superiors to create Incident report to be forwarded to concerned sections for follow up.
11. Ensures that the work sites are clean, safety guidelines are followed, and the work practices are in conformity with procedures and standards of E& and customers.
12. Guides the contractors’ site personnel as required.
13. Should carryout independent site visits & have Valid UAE Driving license. 
14. Audit activities / JV with outsourced Contractor / managed services / contractor staff / External Authority & report for discrepancies observed
