Job Description
- Plan, prepare, and deliver science lessons according to the school curriculum.
- Use a variety of instructional techniques, including hands-on activities, visual aids, and digital resources.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the needs of individual students.
- Foster a classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, experimentation, and a love of learning.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, creating a supportive and respectful classroom culture.
- Organize and facilitate simple science experiments and activities that help students observe and understand scientific concepts.
- Regularly assess students’ understanding and progress through informal assessments, quizzes, projects, and class participation.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians regarding academic performance.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and share reports with school leadership.
Job Requirements
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, or a related field. A teaching certification or qualification in primary education is preferred.
- Experience teaching science to primary-aged children is an advantage. Fresh graduates with relevant education may be considered.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of primary school science curriculum and educational practices.
- Ability to create engaging and interactive lesson plans.
- Effective classroom management and communication skills.
