Job Description
- Analyze tender documents, including specifications, drawings, and bills of quantities (BOQs) to understand project requirements.
- Materials Selection: Audit and select appropriate materials for construction projects, ensuring compliance with quality standards and budgetary constraints.
- Method Statements: Prepare comprehensive Method of Statements (MOS) for project execution.
- Pricing and Cost Estimation: Provide precise pricing, cost estimation, and budget analysis to ensure competitive and high-quality project proposals.
- Bill of Quantities (BOQ): Audit and review BOQ documents, ensuring accurate calculations and adherence to tender requirements.
- Tender Documentation: Coordinate the preparation and submission of all necessary tender documentation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Bidding Management: Manage the entire bidding process, including communication with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, and ensuring timely submission of bids.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other departments to collect essential information for tendering and project planning.
- Risk Assessment: Evaluate potential risks in bids and proposals, proposing mitigation strategies as needed.
- Variation Orders (VOs): Conduct studies related to variation orders during project implementation.
- Conduct site visits when necessary to assess the project environment.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Architecture or Civil).
- Industry and Market Awareness.
- Ability to analyze pricing structures and financial implications.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years in a similar role.
- Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of tender preparation, specifications, and pricing.
- Expertise in materials selection and BOQ preparation.
- Proficiency in bidding management and cost estimation.
- Strong ability to analyze and interpret contract documents and drawings.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
