GIG.Tech is a fast-growing cloud service provider. We are head quartered in Belgium, but our team is located worldwide.
We are looking for a full-time Python Developer to help develop and maintain our automatic deployment solution for the customers of GIG.Tech’s cloud services.
Our automation solution is brand new and constantly evolving and expanding. We work with Docker as a starting point and build the base infrastructure with Terraform and CLI-based tools. We are looking for a Python Developer to glue all the components together and have a totally automated solution.
As a Python Developer for GIG.Tech you’ll constantly learn advance technologies and become an expert user of our platform, actively involved in continuous improvement of our product by providing your feedback and suggestions.
Responsibilities
- Plan, create and maintain our automation solution for our cloud.
- Work closely with our engineers to deliver complete, tested and automated applications that will perform well on our cloud infrastructure.
- Be a team player and keep in touch with the colleagues in our remote office environment.
- Attend daily agile meetings with our engineering team to sync on your progress.
Job Requirements
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with Python
- Experience with multiple Operating Systems. (Linux, Windows,...)
- Understanding the concepts of Cloud architecture.
- Independent, responsible, able to work in a team
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in Terraform, Ansible, Bash, Powershell, Gitlab CI
- Experience with cloud-init and QEMU/KVM
- 2 years or more Python dev or DevOps Experience.
- Experience in a UNIX environment.
- Experience with cloud services.
- Experience with Kubernetes is a plus
