Responsibilities:

• Maintain a high standard of safety for yourself and others in all activities, 
• Complete a minimum of 2 planned tasks observation and 1 fatal risks audit every month.
• Utilise appropriate equipment and tools to design drill and blast plans and ventilation plans.
• Assist with maintaining ventilation and drill and blast equipment to a high standard and ensure equipment is kept within required calibration.
• Ensure Ventilation surveys and Plans are up to date.
• Assist with carrying out ventilation surveys.
• Assist drill and blast engineers with designing drill plans, charge plans, logging electronic timings UG, testing firing lines, and stope inspections.
• Input relevant mining data accurately, create daily reports.
• Complete practical underground time (6 -12 months).
• Conduct other miscellaneous mining department tasks as required.
• Assist with survey department if required for scans or hole surveys.

Qualification Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in mining is required
• Current manual Driver’s License

Experience and Skills Requirements:

• Strong work ethics and pride in work is required
• Keen to learn and listening to understand is required
• Experience using Deswik and Surpac is desirable
• Good skills in Microsoft excel, powerpoint presentation, word and database applications
• Excellent numeracy skills
• Ability to work unsupervised as required
• Ability to forward plan and prioritise multiple tasks
