Safety Officer

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Remote On-site Safety Officer for Remote Commercial Construction Site to join our mega projects team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of safety regulations and standards, and experience working in a remote commercial construction area. The candidate should also have 3 years of experience in construction health and safety on projects of similar size and scope, and a qualification equivalent to NEBOSH General certificate level.Who we are:Raqtan Group is an operated group with specialized businesses in Food and Beverage Services and development, e-commerce, and data. Building and innovating is at the heart of who we are and what we do, we are constantly seeking to outperform our last great accomplishment, and we love good coffee.ResponsibilitiesConduct regular site inspections to identify and assess potential health and safety hazards.Implement and enforce safety policies, procedures, and best practices in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.Provide guidance and training to workers, subcontractors, and site personnel on safety protocols and practices.Monitor and report on the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all individuals on the site.Investigate and document all accidents, incidents, near-misses, and safety violations, and recommend corrective actions.Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, inspections, and safety training sessions.Collaborate with the Health and Safety Manager and deputy to develop and update the site-specific safety plan.Keep up-to-date with changes in safety regulations and industry best practices and ensure the site's compliance.Ensure that emergency response plans, including first aid facilities and equipment, are in place and regularly tested.Monitor and inspect equipment and machinery to ensure they are in safe working condition and well-maintained.Coordinate with relevant authorities and agencies when necessary, such as reporting serious incidents and ensuring permits and licenses are in order.Conduct safety audits and participate in safety audits and inspections from regulatory bodies.Participate in incident root cause analysis and assist in developing corrective and preventive actions.Maintain a visible presence on the construction site during working hours to promptly address safety concerns.Provide recommendations for continuous improvement in the safety program and the site's overall safety.Qualifications and requirements :Shall have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of construction health and safety experience on projects of similar size and scope at the Safety Officer level.Shall have a qualification equivalent to NEBOSH General certificate level.Shall be current in First Aid/CPR/AED certification.MS Office especially Word and Excel.Good in English and ArabicWhat you can expect:Accommodation and transportation are provided by the companyCompany culture: We are a collaborative and supportive company where everyone is encouraged to share their ideas.
