Job Description
- Review contracts drafted/templates submitted by other parties in order to maintain minimum risks to the company, and translate the contract agreement into Arabic, to be used by the finance department for social insurance purposes, and Prepare the standard template for Notice of Variation (NOV), to be used by the variations department.
- Provide advice to PM/Project Team, regarding the interpretation of the contract terms and conditions in terms of (Risks, Obligations, and Entitlements).
- Draft the contractual correspondences necessary for the Projects
including for ex.; notices of Claims/delays/disruption, Extension of Time, Site Possession, Contractual disputes, Prolongation claim, responses to determination letters, TOCs, and handing over letters,
excluding letters related to Safety issues, Quality issues, Engineering, Procurement, Progress, Quantity Surveying, Payments, and Variations.
- Review tender documents received by employer/owner and prepare contract analysis report including main points, concerns and risks to be considered during the pricing process and decision making.
- Review contracts drafted/templates submitted by other parties (Service provider, consultant) in order to maintain minimum risks to the company.
- Draft all contractual correspondences necessary for the Projects to preserve company rights.
- Provide advice regarding the interpretation of contract terms and conditions to company departments for clarification.
- Assist contracts section manager in preparation and assessment of Subcontractor’s claims
- Assist contracts section manager to ensure that Project Managers apply closeout procedures in compliance with Contract Condition
- Assist contracts section manager in preparation and assessment of EOT and cost claims.
- Prepare internal weekly reports necessary for follow up and monitoring.
- Prepare and Update Closeout report in order to monitor, control and support in Closeout of Projects quarterly.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Preferred Civil or Architecture).
- 5-8 years of experience
- experience in Contracts is a Must.
- A degree in (Contracts, Qs, and Construction Management) will be a plus
- Clac & Fidic courses are a plus
