Job Description
- Create client/carrier connection-specific data maps and retrieve data from the database or specific client systems.
- Handle data analysis and testing cycles with the carriers till getting the production approvals.
- Implement EDI feeds and regularly follow up with our partners and carriers to get updates on the files’ status.
- Support the documentation process of the projects’ updates on our internal channel and ensure the delivery of test files to the carrier.
- Configure, test, and support EDI transactions and integrations.
- Monitor EDI workflows and troubleshoot data errors & failures.
- Work with trading partners to set up new EDI connections.
- Maintain EDI documentation and ensure compliance with standards.
- Collaborate with IT teams and business units for smooth EDI operations.
Job Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience with EDI systems (2+ years preferred).
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Experience in retail industries is a plus.
2. Technical Skills:
- EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, TRADACOMS, XML, JSON).
- EDI transaction sets (e.g., 810, 850, 856, 997).
- Mapping and translation tools (e.g., Gentran, Sterling Integrator, BizTalk, Cleo Integration Cloud).
- Scripting & programming (SQL, Python, Java, or scripting languages).
- Data formats & protocols (AS2, FTP, SFTP, VAN, API, Web Services).
- ERP & integration tools (SAP IDocs, Oracle EBS, Microsoft Dynamics).
3. Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot EDI transactions and resolve data issues.
- Excellent communication skills (to coordinate with vendors, trading partners, and internal teams).
- Project management and documentation skills.
