Job Description

Information technology sales specialists are employed by businesses that offer IT solutions to mostly commercial companies They are responsible for pitching technical sales proposals to potential clients, negotiating prices and contractual terms, and renewing service agreements. Their duties include providing clients with Pre/after-sales support. 

Job Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Keeping informed on technical product specifications and functionalities.
  • Developing a sales strategy and setting sales targets.
  • Consulting with IT developers and management on products offerings and sales strategies.
  • Identifying marketing opportunities and developing sales leads.
  • Assessing potential clients' IT needs and recommending products.
  • Preparing and delivering sales pitches and product demonstrations.
  • Determining a client’s business requirements and if the products being considered are suitable
  • Negotiating commercial agreements, renewal contracts, and service agreements as well as discounts and warranties to the benefit of both the customer and company.
  • Building/maintaining relationships with new/existing customers through prospecting/networking.
  • Tracking sales targets and documenting sales performance metrics.
  • Ensuring competitiveness by analysing and researching industry trends.
  • pre-sales - giving detailed information about technical specifications and the ways in which they could meet a customer's needs
  • Post-sales (or after-sales) - providing the support of hardware and software based on client feedback.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or associate's degree in sales/marketing, or a similar qualification.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology would be advantageous.
  • Advanced knowledge of marketing and sales strategies.
  • Ability to explain and demonstrate IT product specifications and functionalities.
  • Advanced proficiency in IT industry terminology
  • in-depth knowledge of consumer behaviour, as well as industry trends and innovation.
  • Fluency in both English and Arabic 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • 2-5 years’ experience in an IT sales environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).

Additional Requirments

  • Position Title: Sales Specialist (IT)
  • Employment: Full Time
  • Office hours: 8 am to 5 pm (unless assigned to stay later fulfilling work requirements)
  • Working days: Sunday through Thursday, with weekends on Friday and Saturday. Work-related obligations sometimes require weekend attendance
  • Location: In Front Of Mall Of Arabia - Sixth El Syahia - 6 October City, Giza, Egypt
