Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Azure ETL development and data warehousing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, technical support, and extensive experience with SSIS/ETL development.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement end-to-end ETL solutions using Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, SSIS, and ODI.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze data sources, and design efficient data integration processes.
- Create and maintain scalable data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehousing environments.
- Utilize strong knowledge of data warehousing principles and best practices to optimize data models and ensure data quality and integrity.
- Develop and implement SSIS packages on the Azure platform using Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Collaborate with database administrators to implement and maintain relational database technologies such as Oracle and SQL Server.
- Work with non-relational databases such as MongoDB and CosmosDB, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Explore and leverage Azure native services for data processing, storage, and analysis.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Perform data analysis, troubleshooting, and provide technical support to address any issues or bottlenecks in the ETL processes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in data warehousing, ETL, and Azure services.
- Utilize data visualization tools like Power BI to create insightful reports and dashboards for data analysis and decision-making.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 9 years of overall technology experience with a focus on software development, technical support, and SSIS/ETL development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure services and expertise in end-to-end implementation of ETL tools such as SSIS, Azure Data Factory, and ODI.
- In-depth knowledge of data warehousing concepts, Azure native services, and cloud computing.
- Proficiency in working with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server) and non-relational databases (MongoDB, CosmosDB).
- Experience with data visualization tools, particularly Power BI, to create compelling reports and visualizations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data integration challenges.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
