Job Description

Support activities follow-up:-

  • Responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring the IT digital skills programme for the youth beneficiaries.
  • Responsible for coordinating, engaging, and planning activities with various stakeholders from IT field, local authorities, and prospects employers.
  • Provide 1:1 or group coaching, mentoring, advice, and guidance to support beneficiaries to achieve their programme of learning and transition to sustainable work.
  • Plan and deliver formal and informal training sessions to develop employability and soft skills, confidence, self-esteem, CVs writing, interview techniques, digital skills, and job search to help securing a sustained employment.
  • Build and maintain a labor market mapping, and knowledge on the skills needs of employers and continuously update.
  • Lead on creating fruitful links with prospect employers and ensure linkages with ready-to-work youth and facilitate access to internships and work opportunities.
  • Lead on the organization of job fairs.
  • Support the Senior Operations officer in organizing trainings and registering trainees, as appropriate.
  • Coordinating and contributing to the capacity building of MOY officials in the youth centers.
  • Plan, coordinate and monitor the capacity building for youth to carry out youth led initiatives and organize the support for the youth lead initiatives.
  • Lead in organizing with the youth yearly social events.

Reporting, documentation and budgeting:-

  • Responsible for project drafting and documentation.
  • Maintain the project’s information management system.
  • Support the line manager in conducting any field-based assessments or evaluations and/or enhancing the project databases.
  • Tracking the activities budget and the project activities and update this to the Senior operations officer.
  • Contribute and monitor MEAL plan and support MEAL unit in project data collection tasks.
  • Support the line manager with Community plan implementation and any Community related tasks.

Support the project admin work:-

  • Maintain good coordination with the support service team, communication officer, and child protection officer.
  • Responsible for managing the skills programme administrative tasks.
  • Request and follow-up the support from the logistics officer.
  • Supervise the settlement of open advances.

Other responsibilities:-

  • Facilitate and arrange for events and visits to the program.
  • Work closely with the Senior operations officer to develop the work plans; and update them regularly.
  • Report and share status of implementation, all lessons learnt and challenges with the project’s team

Do any other tasks as maybe requested by line manager

Job Requirements

Education / Qualifications: 

  • Qualification in advice and guidance; and/or on Employment related services.

Experience:

  • At least 1-3 years of relevant previous experience in offering high standards
    quality services.
  • Experience in working with unemployed youth to improve employment prospects.
  • Experience in face-to-face interviews and in individual work plans.
  • Sensitivity to the needs of vulnerable individuals.
  • Demonstrated community outreach experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with extremely vulnerable groups.
  • Awareness of the security context and the political situation in Egypt for refugees.
  • Able to work effectively within a team and / or individually.
  • Good organization with strong time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.

Languages: 

  • Proficiency in Arabic and English, written and spoken is a must.

IT Knowledges:

  • Excellent Computer literacy (software & hardware).
  • Excellent in dealing with e-learning platforms.
  • Skilled in MS Office package.

Security:-

  • Comply with TDH Security Regulations.
  • Inform and share any incident or information related to the security of staff and beneficiaries
    with the Country Representative.

Safeguarding Policy:-

  • Commit to respect the TDH Safeguarding Policy and principles of child protection.
  • Commit to ensure the best implementation possible of the Safeguarding Policy in Egypt.
  • Commit to inform Child Safeguarding Focal Point and to deal with any cases, allegations, or
    possibility of transgression, even potential, of the Safeguarding Policy.

Other:-

  • Undertake all other duties that may be requested by the Country Representative and that are
    compatible with the job.
