Job Description

Fixed Assets Management:

  • Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure proper classification of assets.
  • Record acquisitions, disposals, and transfers of fixed assets.
  • Calculate and post depreciation expenses accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards regarding fixed assets.

General Ledger Accounting:

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closings.
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments as needed.
  • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

  • Prepare reconciliations for fixed assets and related accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations related to fixed assets.
  • Provide analysis and reports on asset utilization and depreciation trends

Job Requirements

 

  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Proficiency in English and in MS Office
  • BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
  • Similar experience as a fixed assets Accountant or relevant role in accounting
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Office Word and Excel; very good with spreadsheets
  • Knowledge of an accounting information system is a plus
  • Good math skills
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and MS Excel.
