Job Description
Fixed Assets Management:
- Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure proper classification of assets.
- Record acquisitions, disposals, and transfers of fixed assets.
- Calculate and post depreciation expenses accurately.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards regarding fixed assets.
General Ledger Accounting:
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closings.
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments as needed.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Prepare reconciliations for fixed assets and related accounts.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations related to fixed assets.
- Provide analysis and reports on asset utilization and depreciation trends
Job Requirements
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office
- BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
- Similar experience as a fixed assets Accountant or relevant role in accounting
- Excellent use of Microsoft Office Word and Excel; very good with spreadsheets
- Knowledge of an accounting information system is a plus
- Good math skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and MS Excel.
