Nexford University is looking for a Partnerships Manager to lead the commercial roll out of our 'Nexford for Business' program offerings in MENA. The Partnerships Manager at Nexford University will lead on building and executing our B2B strategy with a focus predominantly on the MENA region. The Partnerships Manager will initiate and manage partnerships with a wide range of employers and other strategic partners, supported by local team members. Your goal will be to help organizations up-skill and re-skill their workforces, as well as build future talent pools in partnership with Nexford University.

You will be an accomplished business development expert, with minimum 5 years of experience in selling educational offerings to employers across emerging markets. You will have strong experience in generating and closing partnerships through with organizations of different sizes. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of both revenue generation as well as strategic partnerships and will demonstrate the creativity and autonomy necessary to establish a thriving portfolio of B2B and B2B2C focused partnerships across multiple markets. 

This role is a high-profile external-facing position that has a high level of reputational responsibility. It requires developed account management skills and the ability to drive cross-functional working internally. The Partnerships Director will need to be able to think creatively to craft partnerships that meet organization and partners’ objectives and deliver ambitious revenue and reputational targets. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and delivery of our B2B strategy
  • Generate key strategic employer partnerships 
  • Identify partnership opportunities and pursue them in collaboration with local Partnership Managers as well as NXU's marketing team
  • Generate and manage sales pipelines from scratch
  • Build strong market insights to help shape and refine product development, based on demand insights
  • Manage key accounts and build out a future team once a portfolio of B2B partnerships are active
  • Spending time in-market building local networks in markets such as GCC + Egypt

Job Requirements

Ideal Candidate profile 

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required, an advanced degree is preferred 
  • Prior experience in the higher education or skills training sector
  • 5+ years of prior work experience with partnership development, with a focus on business development 
  • Strong market knowledge and experience in doing business across emerging economies
  • Well-established networks and industry contacts (with large corporates) to deliver on ambitious growth targets
  • Experience in approaching, and communicating with senior-level executives across diverse organizations  
  • Experience with the development and execution of partnership agreements
