Engage the business users to assess their needs to build the suitable model.
Review the business process, if needed, and conceptualize the entities that interoperate within the business process.
Determine how the various entities are related and develop entity relationship diagrams that represent the connections among the entities.
Identify each entity's characteristics and properties and ensure that the entities can be differentiated within the model.
Develop a logical data model and validate the model to ensure that it serves the needs of the business application and its consumers.
Transform the logical representation of the model into a physical representation on Denodo and work with database administrators to instantiate and manage the data.
Collaborate with the concerned teams on creating the optimized, reusable semantic model, complete with metadata and lineage information.
Optimize the model to ensure predictable performance.
Maintain the metadata; describing the data model, its structure, and semantics.
Recommend and establish standards, guidelines, and procedures for design and maintenance.

Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent Information Technology discipline.
5-6 years of Experience.
Proficient in industry standard techniques for data modeling. The Data Modeler must be proficient in 3rd normal form relational modeling. Dimensional modeling experience would be a strong added value for online analytical processing.
Demonstrable experience in developing, validating, publishing, maintaining LOGICAL data.
Advanced SQL skills
In depth knowledge of modeling methodologies and techniques.
In depth knowledge of facilitation and conflict resolution processes.
Strong consultative, facilitation and consensus building skills.
Strong analytical, data profiling and problem-solving skills
Strong teaming, in addition to, verbal and written communication skills
Work with Business Analysts, Data Architects, Software developers, DBAs to achieve project objectives - delivery dates, cost objectives, quality objectives, business customer satisfaction objectives, etc.
Demonstrable experience in developing, publishing, and maintaining all documentation for data models
