Job Description
- Lead and supervise the trucking operations team, including dispatchers, drivers, and trucking vendors.
- Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to team members.
- Ensure team alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Oversee route planning and dispatch of trucks to ensure optimal use of resources and timely deliveries.
- Coordinate with drivers to ensure that they are fully briefed on their routes and assignments.
- Handle any issues that arise during transit, such as route changes, delays, or vehicle breakdowns.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, addressing concerns related to delivery schedules and logistics.
- Work closely with the sales and CS teams to ensure that customer requirements are fully met.
- Monitor daily performance metrics, such as delivery times, fuel consumption, and driver productivity.
- Prepare and present weekly or monthly reports to the Operations Manager regarding trucking operations and any areas for improvement.
- Address and resolve any operational challenges that arise during deliveries
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5- 8 years’ experience in trucking operations or logistics, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of Egypt’s transportation regulations and infrastructure.
- Proficiency in fleet management systems and logistics software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
