Job Description

  • Develop and implement strategies to manage the day-to-day operations resulting in a consistently high-level of performance, efficiency and quality 
  • Lead a process of continuously improving performance through a combination of effective processes, leadership, training and system development 
  • Supervise and oversee the operations of SME onboarding, Supplier onboarding, card delivery, payment & card operations, and call centre operations to ensure quality standards are met and process improvement goals are achieved 
  • Monitor operations performance against established objectives and develop corrective actions and improvement plans 
  • Work closely with the Tech Team to improve internal systems and provide input and feedback on new product development 
  • Be responsible for acceptance testing of new software functionality related to operations 
  • Support and customize policies, procedures and standards to deliver projects e.g. incident management and change management within the team 
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with our partner banks and other vendors 
  • Manage customer service-related issues and ensure customer satisfaction 
  • Analyse customer data and make recommendations to Product Team to improve customer satisfaction 
  • Be responsible for operational compliance with relevant local and international Rules & Regulations 
  • Implement operational processes and reporting that demonstrate you are in control 

Job Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in operations within payments (e.g. banking or fintech) 
  • 1-2 years of experience in an upper-tier / management position 
  • Knowledge of and experience with prepaid card and know-your-customer regulations in Egypt is a plus 
  • Proven experience in Egyptian payment schemes and networks, in particular related to the issuance of cards 
  • Deep understanding of payments scheme compliance and integrations, disputes, and settlements 
  • Knowledge of best practices in operations and project management 
  • Ability to break complex problems into smaller ones by analyzing data with the help of tools like SQL, Excel, Jira, Confluence 
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills 
  • Ability to an objective decision making, organizing workflows, prioritizing, and delivering high quality 
  • Structured and organized way of working 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to think out of the box 
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills in the Arabic and English language 
  • Experience in scaling Operations at a high-growth organization is a plus
