Your Role and Responsibilities

• IBM Research is welcoming applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position specialized in computational chemistry or computational physics.
• We are seeking outstanding candidates who obtained their Doctoral degree within the last five (5) years.
• The position is located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
• You will be hired as a full-time IBM Employee.
• Duration of the contract: 24-36 months.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Doctoral Degree completed in the last 5 years in Computer Science or Materials Science or other related fields with considerable computational modelling focus.
• Expertise in Physics, Chemistry, or Materials Science; familiarity with Metal-Organic Frameworks for CO2 Direct Air Capture and/or CO2 Hydrogenation and related areas.
• Demonstrated skills and expertise in performing molecular simulations based on, for example, Classical Molecular Dynamics (MD), Density Functional Theory (DFT), or Grand Canonical Monte Carlo (GMC).
• Be familiar with data science and machine learning/deep learning methods, including natural language processing (NLP), and their implementation. Have notable programming experience in languages such as Python and C++.
