VACANCY:

We are hiring a professional caliber to join the Supply Chain Team as Purchasing Manager as per the following details:

  • Designation: Purchasing Manager
  • Location: New Cairo
  • Reporting: Supply Chain Manager
  • Grade: pM01/pM 02

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE OF PHARMACEUTICALS IS MANDATED

Job Purpose :

Leading the purchasing team both Local and Foreign Purchasing Personnel to deliver the planned delivers to ensure sustainability of production materials

A. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work in close collaboration with business partners to get a clear understanding of business needs, determine the appropriate purchasing strategy, identify vendors, and ensure the consistency between the scientific specifications, vendor proposals, and contractual documents
  • Provide support to the purchase-to-pay (P2P) process supported by the system, as needed
  • Coordinate providers’ performance assessment and provides support to supplier relationship management
  • Periodically finalize purchase order, change order, delivery details, etc.
  • Lead day to day procurement operations for site procurement needs
  • Support implementation of new procurement system, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform risk management data analysis
  • Lead a team of purchasing professionals creating a culture of accountability, driving for results, collaboration, and customer focus
  • Develop talent pool and build team capabilities
  • Build a stable supply chain that is visible, predictable, and responsive through the development and management of disciplined processes
  • Manage activities involving strategic or tactical material purchasing, material requirements planning, and overall materials and inventory management. Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or improve material availability to fulfill production schedules
  • Develop and implement an appropriate site procurement process that optimizes inventory and identifies opportunities for cost recovery due to obsolescence or material aging with the Site and the Customer Service Team.
  • Lead cost savings efforts for Commercial sites through site-level purchasing projects,- and implementation of sourcing initiatives and strategies.
  • Develop seamless communications with suppliers and provide them with predictable, reliable demand by forward forecasting requirements, streamlining communications, providing appropriate lead time for orders, minimizing disruptions in delivery schedules, etc.
  • Establish key performance indicators for purchasing, inventory management, and schedule attainment; monitor ongoing performance; and drive performance improvements in the KPIs
  • Work with suppliers on their value creation processes and challenge them to reduce costs (and prices) by taking out wasted steps along their value streams while improving quality and responsiveness
  • Point out the root causes of waste in supplier operations and work out plans for essential improvements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor

Job Requirements

B. Job Requirements:

1. Level of Education:

  • Relevant B.Sc. degree, preferably Life Science qualification. Professional Supply Chain Certificates/Study is a definite plus

2. Experience :

  • 3-5 years of experience in managing the same role at sound pharmaceutical companies
  • PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE OF PHARMACEUTICALS IS MANDATED

3. Language :

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • English fluency essential

4.IT Literacy :

  • Professional computer and MS-Office skills
