Senior Accountant - American Company

At us:

• We are a US based logistics company that focuses on the trucking industry, we move freight all over the US. We are starting a service centre in Cairo, Egypt to support our office US
• Please note that the job will be preformed from the office and the hours will be according to the central time (8 am to 5 pm) equivalent to  3 m Egypt Time.

Expectations:

• Accountant responsibilities include auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements and calculating tax payments and returns. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping.
• Experience with quickbooks and preferably a CPA certificate 

Responsibilities:

• Manage all accounting transactions
• Update and Summarize receivables
• Verify validity of account discrepancies.
• Carry out billing, collection and reporting activities according to specific deadlines
• Perform account reconciliations
• Generate and review AR aging to ensure compliance
• Investigate and resolve customer queries
• Tracking payments to internal and external stakeholders
• Prepare financial statements on time
• Handle closing weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually
• Ensure timely bank payments
• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns (Provide CPA with required data)
• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
• Comply with financial policies and regulations
