Job Description

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for locating key suppliers, negotiating the company’s purchasing agreements, and making sure materials and products meet the company’s specifications and timeline.

Responsibilities:

  • Procure equipment, materials & systems in compliance with project Quality and Specification requirements.
  • Lead and manage project timelines with cross-functional teams to ensure proper progress of milestones for existing and new products concerned. Also ensure proper service level performance by multiple mechanical suppliers.
  • Handle planned orders, create requisitions for purchased items, and manage the approval process through Odoo ERP.
  • Identify and list down recommended/approved international suppliers based on the following: price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier’s reputation and history.
  • Issue, Check and revise all purchasing orders for all required materials to ensure that all such purchases are delivered at the appropriate time and in accordance with company requirements.
  • Ensure timely delivery of equipment, material & systems to support site installation works as per the approved work program.
  • Negotiate contracts, agreements, and pricing with suppliers.
  • Prepare price comparisons to ensure compliance with the agreed-upon contract price.
  • Ensure that all orders adhere to supplier agreements and contracts.
  • Calculate international freight charges to determine whether the purchase of the components is economically feasible.
  • Track orders, and confirm delivery dates and costs on Odoo ERP.
  • Monitor all foreign purchase requests and evaluate all inventory and specifications; Maintain stock and prepare contract billing.
  • Ensure payment terms are managed and optimized for improved cash flow and a significant reduction in deposit invoices.
  • Receive invoices from suppliers and verify them against PO and delivery receipts.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Diploma in the supply chain is Preferred.
  • 7 -10 Years’ experience in local and/or foreign purchasing in a related industry.
  • Solid knowledge of ERP systems is preferred (ideally Odoo).
  • Very good English language speaking, writing and reading.
  • Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical ability to adapt to different client needs and to develop and maintain successful working relationships.
  • A flair for negotiation and networking.
