Job Description
- Prepare various Quantity Surveying documents including budgetary estimates from sketch drawings, Bill of Quantities for all disciplines and Costs Estimates.
- Prepare award of contracts, checks contract documents as well as make recommendations of contractor’s valuations.
- Responsible for preparing technical and material submittals.
- Assisting in the project budget, schedule planning and review design & shop drawings.
- Coordinate Architecture Civil and Electromechanical.
- Coordinate various projects between technical office, sites and designers.
- Participate in daily technical office activities (quantity surveying, contracts and bids).
- Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation.
- Prepare the construction method statements and risk assessments and develop work methods and temporary works necessary for your area.
- Track changes to the design or construction work and adjusting budget projections accordingly.
- Taking part in the selection process of subcontractors and suppliers for projects. Reviewing subcontractors' invoices.
- Price/forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the project.
- Study and prepare Requests for Information (RFIs) for missing, unclear, conflicting or other technical matters that may arise during construction.
- Review outsourced Engineering offices' drawings and coordinate their approval process.
- Resolve/report any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise during construction.
- Coordinate and develop detailed project schedule together with engineers, vendors and construction contractors.
- Communicate projects' progress and problems/risks/concerns to senior management.
- Prepare technical and commercial comparison sheets of offers received from the subcontractors, and follow up on the subcontracted works, including the payment applications.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree certificate in Engineering according to the required specialty (Mechanical - Electrical).
- From 2 to 4 years’ experience in the same field.
