Associate Producer - Discussions
As the Associate Producer you will help conduct research utilising traditional, web and social media sources.The Associate Producer works directly with the producers to engage online community in conversations that enhance and expand The Stream’s editorial show topics and discussions. The Associate Producer also helps conduct research utilising traditional, web and social media sources. Works to tight deadlines and helps source and create social media content for use in the programme. They will also produce text, video and graphics content for all show social media accounts. The Associate Producer must have a thorough understanding of news and global current affairs.

The Associate Producer also helps conduct research utilising traditional, web and social media sources. Specific Responsibilities:
- Manage community engagement with online audience
- Monitor social media content as it comes into the show live and assign what is to appear on air,
- Produce video, text and graphics content for social media - Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and any other social network the show launches on
- Identify new, under-covered sources and story/show ideas using social media
- Research story and guest ideas for Stream episodes
- Assist producer in sourcing relevant social media and online content for the broadcast show: pictures, video and text
- Perform other duties relevant to the job as requested
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Journalism or Related Field,
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a social media role or in TV production as Researcher and/or Associate
- Producer on factual programmes of an appropriate type,
- Wide knowledge and use of social media tools
- Wide knowledge of global current affairs
- Video editing with Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro
- Design and animation ability using Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Adobe After Effects is desirable
- Basic knowledge of camera-work, lighting, field ops and media-management desirable
