Job Description

Position: Travel Agent
Location: Cairo, Egypt

Job Overview:

A Sales Travel Agent is responsible for assisting clients in planning and booking travel arrangements, providing excellent customer service, and achieving sales targets. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, knowledge of travel destinations, and proficiency in travel booking systems.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Client Consultation:

- Engage with clients to understand their travel preferences and requirements.

- Provide expert advice on destinations, travel options, and itineraries.

2. Booking Arrangements:

- Book flights, hotels, car rentals, and other travel services.

- Ensure all arrangements meet client specifications and budget constraints.

3. Sales Achievement:

- Meet or exceed sales goals through effective upselling and cross-selling.

- Promote travel packages, special offers.

4. Customer Service:

- Address client inquiries and resolve any issues related to bookings.

- Provide post-trip support and follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction.

5. Market Research:

- Stay updated on travel trends, industry developments, and destination information.

- Identify new opportunities for sales and partnerships.

6. Administrative Duties:

- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and transactions.

- Prepare reports on sales performance and customer feedback.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in any field.

- Experience with GDS systems is preferred (Galileo, Amadeus, Sabre).

- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Customer service-oriented with a problem-solving mindset.

- Flexibility to work various shifts including overnight shifts.

- B1 / B2 in the English language.
