Ensure stable and reliable Operation for internal operation
Day-to-day performance monitoring.
Troubleshooting and fault analysis and repair.
Trouble ticket generation, response, and escalations.
Standard changes implementation via our change control systems and processes.
Participate in a 24x7 call-out rotation.
Ticket and standard changes response for customer with valid support contract.
Responsible for regular maintenance on databases (e.g., Reindexing, Archiving).
Good knowledge of security as it relates to cloud-based infrastructure.
Responsible for pro-active remediation of database operational problems.
Able to gather relevant information systematically to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Ability to work in a team environment
Good analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
Good attention to detail, testing and documentation
Knowledge of ITIL and industry best practices
Strong oral and written communication skills

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer/Communication Engineering or equivalent.
5-7 years working experience in a similar environment
Strong background in Unix/Linux operating systems and have shell scripting skills.
Install, build, configure and tune database systems and carry out capacity planning.
Hands-on experience in administering and maintaining SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Mongo, etc.…).
Experienced in upgrading databases and cluster administration.
Setting up user’s tools for administration.
Perform routine maintenance on several database environments including application of updates, patches, and hotfixes.
Creating databases, migrating database objects from non-production to production environment.
Working knowledge of Database Security mechanism, data encryption and auditing.
Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and SQL.
Measure database performance and troubleshoot database issues, I/O bottlenecks, SQL Tuning.
Experience in scripting languages (shell or python or Perl) for automating DBA administrative tasks.
