Job Description
To manage the end-to-end supply chain for the products, services, deals and categories, buyers and commercial advisors, and add to the business bottom-line. Serves as a company leader, overseeing day-to-day operations and focusing on the long-term interests of the business.
- Defines target groups & sales channels in order to develop & implement programs and measures to exploit the full market potential and secure the revenues of the Company
- Leads the product pricing to ensure a sustainable, competitive yet profitable product pricing policy.
- In coordination with the Marketing Department, conducts activities to generate leads for the brand.
- Supports the Commercial Manager in the qualitative and quantitative annual target setting process.
- Supports the Commercial Manager/Commercial Advisor to achieve the Sales, profitability, customer satisfaction, lead generation and quality objectives.
- Optimization of stock management and sales planning.
- Development of measures & actions to optimize the product model mix in order to reduce the negative impact of product lifecycles on volume/ profitability.
- Review effectiveness and efficiency of branch management and staff and make necessary recommendations to the COO.
- Review and discuss long-term future planning goals of the brand with regards to volume, profitability, facility network to ensure the long-term stability of the business.
- Analyze data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends
- Develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products
- Devise long-term development strategies for product categories
- Foster trust relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of services
- Liaise with marketing teams to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities of a product category
- Collaborate with buyers and merchandisers to expand product categories
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in in a relevant field (eCommerce, analytics, Business, etc).
- At least 4-7 years of experience in a highly commercial role such as a Senior Buyer, eCommerce Manager or Account Manager in the retails (or similar) sector.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written in Arabic
- Experienced with Microsoft Excel (advanced features like VLOOKUP, Index Matching, pivot tables, formulas, macros, etc)
- Excellent commercial and business acumen to make key commercially savvy decisions
- A strong negotiator who’s ready to fight for the best commercial outcomes so that can offer market leading pricing to our customers
- Ready to challenge, be challenged, and work within our highly disruptive business model
- Experience in managing a large team of buyers and commercial advisors
