Job Description
- Provide counsel to staff in all departments on a variety of complex issues. Identify, research, and analyze legal issues that affect the Organization and its activities at the local, state, federal and international levels associated with the Organization’s activities, ongoing operations, and strategic initiatives, including but not limited to, revenue diversification, and jurisdictional and programmatic expansion. Develop and implement staff-friendly plans, systems and procedures
- Prepare memos, defenses, submissions and other pleadings in civil cases both for and against the Company
- Advise on legal matters that should be directed to external counsel office and follow up with them.
- Research and prepare legal opinions on various civil matters including claims for compensation against or pro the Company
- Draft and/or review legal letters, contracts and agreements and monitor legal obligations under agreements to ensure compliance as requested.
- Submit work reports to Legal Director.
- Initiate and pursue legal proceedings as required by the Company
- Conduct different internal investigations with personnel.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree faculty of Law.
- Ability to Handle & Advice with international Legal matters.
- Experience in review legal letters, contracts and agreements and monitor legal obligations under agreements to ensure compliance.
- Experience in representing the Company at Arbitration and Public Utilities Commission hearings
