Job Description

For a Big reputable Travel company in Cairo, we are looking for "Outbound Travel Consultant" responsible for all current and future clients’ experiences, arranging and confirming their travels, making contact upon their return, and setting up the next experience. Using in-depth knowledge of the destination, personal insight and using all resources, the service delivered should be consistently exceptional, ensuring high client satisfaction.

 

Responsibilities

  • Establish client requirements and use product knowledge to prepare the best program and to create a detailed itinerary, matching the client’s preferences and requirements.
  • Manage the itineraries from initial quote through to bookings.
  • Follow-up all itinerary proposals sent to clients to ensure maximum conversion to bookings.
  • Booking international air travel
  • Booking hotels
  • Booking trains, cars, or buses as needed
  • Provide clients with recommendations on attractions, touristic sites and booking them.
  • Ensure familiarity with all products in the area– most specially those promoted by the company, in brochures, magazines and any other marketing media, including offers.
  • Complete the relevant pre and post trip paperwork.
  • Maintain an efficient, professional and friendly relationship with the client throughout the booking process.
  • Maintain regular contact with clients to keep them informed of progress and the status of booking.
  • To call the client pre-travel (2/3 days) and post-travel (2/3 days) to seek feedback, pre-empt any problems and maintain a courteous relationship.
  • Take responsibility for any post-travel problem solving in a professional, expedient and diplomatic manner, always looking to exceed expectations and deliver total client satisfaction.
  • Provide cover for absent colleagues so that service delivery to clients is seamless and maintained.
  • Collect and increase client information to ensure relevant information is retained.
  • Elicit and record specific reasons why a proposed trip did not result in a booking in order to learn directly from the client and use this knowledge in the future.
  • Sign off the file post-travel, securing repeat business and recommendations
     

Job Requirements

University graduate

3 to 4 years of experience working in Outbound Travel

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Customer oriented

Fluent English is a must

Knowledge of airline fare rules and ticketing deadlines
