Job Description
- Developing and improving mechanical power systems and technologies. This could include designing and testing engines, turbines, generators, and other power-related equipment.
- Researching and analyzing existing power systems to identify areas for improvement
- Designing new power systems and components using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Building and testing prototypes of new power systems and components
- Collaborating with other engineers and scientists to develop and refine new technologies
- Conducting experiments and analyzing data to evaluate the performance of new technologies
- Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in power technology and incorporating new ideas into your work
Job Requirements
Education: A bachelor's A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Power Engineering.
- Some employers may prefer or require a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, especially for more advanced or specialized positions
Experience Needed: 3 To 5 Years
Good understanding of related fields like thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and Hydraulic & Pneumatic. You may also need to have specialized knowledge in areas like combustion, heat transfer, or Fluid.
