Job Description
- Manage all the factory operations and ensure that the factory is running profitably.
- Maintain budgets and optimize expenses
- Design strategy and set goals for growth
- Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance
- Oversee production flow and implement new processes as required in order to improve efficiency and support growth in the new production lines.
- Coordinate with marketing and merchandising team for future and present order status and product costing to discuss the capacity status of the factory.
- Review whether all production planning, material planning, and machinery planning are done or not.
- Responsible for the reduction of making costs.
- Follow up day-to-day production from each line and ensures that production units meet the production target.
- Ensures that the factory produces a quality product at minimum alternation and repair cost and ensures that only quality goods are shipped.
- Set clear goals for safety, customer experience, and productivity and successfully deliver on them.
- Ensures smooth flow of information and material from one department to another as you will resolve inter-departmental issues if there are any.
- Handle all production issues.
- Motivate employees and enrich their knowledge.
- Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
- Oversee recruitment and training of new employees
- Direct the employee assessment process
- Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
- Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors)
- Set policies and processes
- Prepare regular reports for upper management
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree is a must, BSc/BA in Business or a relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus.
- Age not above 55 years old.
- Fluent in English.
- Proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role
- At least 15 years of experience in apparel/ Ready-made garments factory is a must in areas of clothing operation is a must.
- Experience in entering the Saudi market.
- Foreign market entry skills
- Strong knowledge of Business development is a must
- Experience in planning and budgeting
- Knowledge of business processes and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations, etc.)
- Strong analytical ability
- Excellent communication skills
- Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Rich Experience in garment production in terms of process, quality, stock management sales forecast, and waste utilization.
- Strong leadership qualities.
