Job Description
This position is of the technical team working with clients located primarily in the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA). The work will primarily focus on environmental impact assessment studies, greenhouse gas mitigation assessment, carbon footprinting, lifecycle assessment, sustainability reporting, cleaner production assessments, environmental audits, environmental management, and policy-oriented work.

Job Requirements
Responsibilities:
• Develop high-quality technical reports/studies.
• Attend/ conduct meetings that involve technical issues with concerned parties.
• Communicate directly with the client to gather all required data and to resolve any technical issues.
• Coordinate with and manage the project team to ensure producing studies and reports up to required standards.
• Mentor specifically assigned Junior Environmental Specialists and Environmental Specialists.
• Enforce the internal work procedures agreed upon with the Technical Team Lead.
• Prepare a weekly updated progress report and communicate it with the Operation Team Lead.
• Immediately report to supervisors' possible delays in the execution of projects or in the performance of assigned tasks and propose remedial actions.
• Ensure that all assigned tasks are fully accomplished and meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
• 5-10 years of practical work experience in environmental and sustainability consulting
• Holds or currently pursuing MSc. in environmental engineering / environmental sciences.
• Proven experience with World Bank ESIA studies, and donor-projects in general
• Experience in carbon foot printing, lifecycle assessment, and sustainability reporting is an asset
• Good organizational skills and a goal-oriented approach to task completion.
• Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully, both orally and in writing (English and Arabic) with customers, regulatory officials, and co-workers regarding technical and administrative matters.
• Self-motivation and the ability to work with minimal direction and under pressure.
