About The JobCarry out installation, maintenance and repair of telecommunication systems in line with standard operating procedures to ensure availability and support Company business.Key AccountabilitiesMaintenanceCarry out assigned maintenance work safely to required standards, in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and all statutory requirements to fulfil the requirements of the work request orwork orderCarry out skilled and preventive maintenance activities, repair and testing of Telecom equipment, ensuring that the job is performed as per requirement and complete the maintenance activity sheet.Carry out visual inspection and exercise vigilance to identify any developing problem and report any problems to ensure continuous equipment availability.Respond/coordinate with ETISALAT on network faults, and on normalizing network digital links for timely resolutions.Execute service requests to install, disconnect, and shift telephone lines or instruments and facsimile machines, including installing and testing structured cabling for voice and data communications.Carry out and assist IT personnel on data cable ports, modem, fiber optics routes and related issues.Carry out Telephone repairs, programming of IP telephone on CISCO router and Switch and Hotlines on sites & SDH (Synchronous Digital Hierarchy).Carryout regular checks and preventative maintenance of CCTV system and carryout functional and video data quality test of cameras and CCTV network.Carryout regular checks and preventative maintenance of Radio system and carryout functional and quality test of radios.Coordination / Administrative Work:Prepare for purchase of required mobile telephones and accessories from local market to meet business requirements.Verify and prepare Etisalat invoices and follow up with Finance for timely payment.Verify monthly PABX extensions bills to identify personal and business calls and ensure payment.Minimum RequirementsDiploma or Degree in Telecommunication or relevant fieldAt least 5 years of experience in telecommunications and multi-platform environments within a large industrial plant, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.22243
