Job Description

 

  • Act as a first line trouble-shooter providing effective and timely solutions to PC and server hardware and software faults and printer, print queue and print server faults.
  • Act as a trouble-shooter providing effective and timely solutions to Networks, Intranet/Internet, E-mail and learning environment faults
  • Maintain, and troubleshoot IT Systems (MS Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, TMG, Cisco switches VLAN, Database Systems).
  • Prepare and maintain audio/video equipments (smart boards – projectors – document cameras).
  • Ensure that all users operate the School’s policy of Acceptable Use of the Internet, email, ICT and communications equipment
  • Maintain the school asset database
  • To ensure that the necessary stock of printer consumables and spares is maintained
  • Provide basic training to staff on the use of school hardware/systems
  • To work as part of a team committed to enhancing the systems available to all school members
  • To work flexibly depending on current IT works/projects requirements
  • To assist in Developing standards for PC and server configurations
  • Create training documentation for end user hardware/systems
  • Resolving network and server faults
  • Operate the network, user accounts, file servers, cabling and switches
  • Supporting the VOIP system
  • To assist the IT Manager in the production of statistics from ICT systems
  • Actively log and maintain IT task on help desk system.
  • Plan, implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions using external/internal backup servers.
  • Plan, implement and maintain Phone systems infrastructure and security Cameras Plan implement and maintain room alert PA systems.
  • Remote troubleshooting and maintaining for servers and staff computers

Job Requirements

  • IT bachelor degree or 2 to 4 years of experience in relevant position.
  • Experienced in resolving routine IT issues related to hardware and software
  • Basic working practices medium to big sized networks
  • Computer troubleshooting, Computer viruses and security, E-mail and internet programs
  • Experience of installing software in a networked environment
  • High level of attention to detail and the ability to meet agreed deadlines
  • Multitasked
  • Flexibility and teamwork
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Team work
