An Accountant, plays a crucial role in our finance team, responsible for executing various accounting tasks with precision and attention to detail. This position requires a good understanding of accounting principles, organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments.

Responsibilities:

• Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed.
• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports.
• Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
• Handle all transactions (cash, credit or cheques) with customers.
• Ensure pricing is correct.
• Issue change, receipts, refunds, or tickets
• Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
• Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information.
• Keep reports for all completed transactions during the month. 
• Deal with customers to handle any request to ensure their satisfaction.
• Responsible for work processes that affect the success of own role and contribute to the overall performance of the department.
• Ensure timely banking of cash receipts.
• Ensure that adequate control and follow up on outstanding cash and controls is in place.
• Work under general supervision with regular review and guidance from direct supervisor.
