Job Description
- Study the project’s documents like drawings, specifications, and schedule, review tender documents and contract to be able to follow up on materials required.
- Visit the site and record information about access, drainage and topography, and availability of services such as water and electricity.
- To review vendors and supplier's quotations to determine the best price and delivery date.
- Prepare comparative analysis documents related to specs, price, delivery conditions and mode of transportation.
- Engaged in the preparation & compilation of the necessary documents, information & technical inputs required for the completion of tender documentation.
- Provide input in the preparation of project funding documents.
- Assist in developing strategies and negotiating pricing for scope of work for subcontractors such as unit pricing, time and material, etc.
- Review and analyze engineer/contractor bids, requesting additional information when needed.
- Assist in the negotiation of contracts, drafting and execution of contracts for capital projects
- Evaluate engineer/contractors physical progress.
- Estimate/develop/monitor and forecast project costs, schedules and cash flow
- Develop engineering/construction cost forecasts for remaining work.
- Review engineer/contractor buy outs, change orders, labor rates, physical engineering/construction progress and invoices.
- Administer the closeout of contracts and purchase orders.
- Ensure compliance with Project Time Control Management of the full project cycle
- Assist the Contract Manager in managing resolution of claims disputes for Extension of Time, Disruption, and Delay in compliance with terms and timescales.
- Establish and monitor Key Project Performance Indicators for the full Project cycle
- Prepare / Update Project Master Schedule and Development Program
- Advise Project Manager on procurement of the project to meet time requirements of the project plan
- Assist in the preparation of project feasibility studies and presentations prepared by the project team
- Assist in preparation of accurate Earned Value and Budgeting reporting in monthly basis.
- Prepare data for inclusion to Development budget projections (Cost and Revenue) with all inputs.
- Advice on delay mitigation and reprogramming techniques to ensure project is delivered on time.
- Provide planning advice to design manager to ensure in all respects that risk is minimized
- Maintain and update the portfolio risk register
- Prepare and present project status reports for management.
- Participate in risk analysis and value engineering reviews for cost estimates, cost forecasts and schedules using applicable software packages.
- Responsible for assisting in budgeting, tracking and controlling the internal costs such as architects/engineer/contractor costs.
- Demonstrate honesty, responsibility, integrity and fulfillment of commitments.
Job Requirements
- BSc. Degree (Civil Engineering)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience
- English fluency is a must (Read, Speak & Write)
- Cairo residence
